Rob Fee has announced a new directorial role within WWE.
Taking to social media to share the news, Fee has announced that he is the WWE Director of Character Development moving forward:
Some exciting news! Last year I moved to Florida to be able to work w/ talent directly on every aspect of their characters. Today my title is officially WWE Director of Character Development! So honored to work w/ our INCREDIBLE team & the best roster of talent imaginable.
Prior to joining the world of sports entertainment, Fee was a writer for Marvel Comics for a number of years on big titles such as Spider-Man and Daredevil. Fee also served as a Creative Consultant for Netflix. Fee was hired back in September 2022 as Director of Longterm Creative.
One of Fee’s more recent notable contributions was highlighted by R-Truth, who revealed that their collaborative effort created the Tom and Nick Mysterio gag.
Another Addition To WWE Backstage Team Revealed
As the promotion approaches one year since Endeavor began its takeover, multiple changes have been seen behind the scenes. The most recent addition was revealed shortly before Fee’s announcement, which saw former independent wrestler Patrick Scott join WWE as a writers’ assistant on SmackDown.
The announced changes come shortly before WrestleMania 40, which has seen many rewrites and plans changing due to injuries, fan backlash and a top talent being implicated in the Vince McMahon allegations. Final plans are set to be announced in the next few weeks as the event is just over one month away.
