The latest instalment of WWE’s enormously successful video game franchise, WWE2K23, is set to be released on Friday 17th March, with John Cena appearing as the cover star.

Cena previously featured on the front cover of the WWE2K15 edition of the game and follows in the footsteps of Superstars such as Rey Mysterio, Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, all of whom have graced the cover in recent years.

The game made a strong return last time out, with WWE2K22 receiving positive critical reviews after the disastrous reception afforded to WWE2K20 which forced developers to take a year out and completely re-think plans behind the game.

Last year the game centered around Rey Mysterio, with the legendary high-flyer the focus of the popular ‘Showcase Mode’ where gamers were able to re-visit the cover Superstars’ career highlights and a selection of the masked man’s most famous matches.

During development of the game it is usual for 2K to use Stars from outside of WWE for motion capture work and WWE2K23 is no different with Lady Frost, who has featured in AEW, Impact, Impact, NWA and CMLL revealing in a recent tweet that she had worked on the highly anticipated release.

“What a cool experience to be a Motion Capture Actor for this game! Grateful for the opportunities, and excited for y’all to tell me which moves you think I performed!”

Frost, who most recently won the CMLL’s Women’s Copa Bicentenario alongside partner Dalys la Caribena, appeared on WWE television back in March 2018, losing in quick fashion to Asuka on an edition of Monday Night Raw.
