Former Champion Returns During AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite Roster

Christian Cage did not come to the April 5th episode of AEW Dynamite alone.

Cage appeared in a backstage vignette in a corridor lit by red lighting. As Cage turned to look at the camera, Luchasaurus could be seen walking through the mist. Both men stared directly at the camera as the screen went to black.

Luchasaurus Reunites With Christian Cage On AEW Dynamite

This is the first time that either wrestler has been seen on TV since their separate losses to Jungle Boy at AEW pay-per-views. Christian Cage was last seen at the Revolution pay-per-view back in March, losing to Jack Perry in a Final Burial match. As for Luchasaurus, the former partner of Jungle Boy would lose a Steel Cage match at the Full Gear pay-per-view back in November 2022.

Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus previously teamed together as Jurassic Express, where the former partners captured the AEW Tag Team Championships once, where Jurassic Express would defeat The Lucha Bros on the first episode of Dynamite in 2022 to capture the titles.

Following a loss of the titles to The Young Bucks, former mentor Christian Cage would brutally attack Jungle Boy, with Luchasaurus choosing to side with the former IMPACT World Champion.

The returns of Cage and Luchasaurus add to the list of headlines that made the April 5th edition of AEW Dynamite a very newsworthy show. The surprises took place from the outset, with former NJPW star Jay White officially becoming All Elite, attacking Ricky Starks in the opening segment.

The biggest news from AEW Dynamite was the announcement made by AEW President Tony Khan and new signee Nigel McGuinness. It was announced that All Elite Wrestling would be hosting their debut show in the UK on Sunday, August 27th. The show will be entitled All In, and will emanate from Wembley Stadium in London.
