WWE is headed into one of its busiest summers of the modern era. Officials are reportedly finalizing major creative plans for a top Superstar with Night of Champions, SNME XL, Evolution, and SummerSlam on the horizon.
Giulia took the WWE Universe by storm in 2024, winning the NXT Women’s Championship just 128 days after debuting. After making her Royal Rumble debut, Giulia dropped the title due to an injury and returned in April this year to turn heel. The London-born Superstar hit the main roster on the RAW after WrestleMania 41.
The Beautiful Madness officially joined SmackDown in mid-May. The 31-year-old defeated Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega to qualify for Money in the Bank, but came up short in the 6-woman ladder match won by Naomi. She’s now set her sights on the Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega.
WWE To Push Giulia In A Major Way
Giulia recently assaulted Zelina Vega, laying her out and raising the Women’s United States Championship. This was a part of WWE’s big push planned for the 5-time Stardom champion.
The Gladiator of Glorias is set to be featured prominently on SmackDown this summer. Recent backstage talk is that officials plan to put a significant spotlight on the former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion in the coming weeks, according to PWInsider. This has fueled rumors of Vega dropping the Women’s United States Championship.
Officials have had significant interest in Giulia since first pursuing her, and they have continued to hold her in high regard. Bodyslam’s Cory Hays responded on the aforementioned Giulia report, reiterating recent comments on how she has “major backing” within WWE, and indicating that they are strapping a rocket to Giulia’s back with this planned push.

Giulia is facing B-Fab on this week’s WWE Main Event, which was taped last Friday. This week’s SmackDown is set to feature some sort of confrontation between Vega and Giulia.
