Unfortunately, another WWE NXT star has been sidelined with an injury.
On the April 30th episode of NXT, Jacy Jayne faced off against Thea Hail. During the match, Hail kicked out of a pin attempt and struck Jayne’s face in the process. Jayne would also lose the match to Hail via submission on the show and was seen with a bloody nose afterwards.
Taking to social media after the show, Jayne uploaded a picture of John Cena with a broken nose after his match with Seth Rollins on Raw, seemingly signifying that she had suffered the same injury. On the May 7th episode of NXT, an update was provided.
Jazmyn Nyx stated that Hail showed her true colours in the match with Jayne and shattered the nose of the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion. Nyx added that Jayne is currently recovering from surgery for a broken nose and wishes her well on her road to recovery. Additionally, Nyx promised payback on Hail for what she did at Spring Breakin.

There is currently no timetable of return for Jayne.
Another Former WWE Champion Announced As Injured
Jayne is the latest name to be announced as injured just 24 hours after another former Women’s Champion was also confirmed to be sidelined until further notice. Asuka was originally set to be a part of the Queen of the Ring tournament on the May 6th Raw and was scheduled to face Lyra Valkyria in the opening round. However, during the broadcast of Raw, Dakota Kai announced that Asuka was injured and would be taking part in the tournament. Kai lost to Valkyria in the opening round.
