Former AEW Wrestler Set To Rejoin The Company Full-Time

After a hiatus from AEW in 2022, Lio Rush appears to be making a significant return to the company, positioning himself as a regular member of the roster.

Rush’s previous stint with AEW in 2021 was marked by his decision not to renew his contract in 2022, reportedly stemming from disagreements with Tony Khan over tweets exchanged in December 2021.

However, the wrestling world was taken by surprise when Rush resurfaced in AEW during the Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet Match last month, garnering attention and acclaim for his performance. In a recent update on Rush’s status, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, via Fightful Select, has indicated that although a new contract has not been officially confirmed, Rush is anticipated to become a regular fixture within the company. Furthermore, it has been revealed that Rush is an integral part of AEW’s creative plans moving forward, signifying a significant role for him within the company.

Lio Rush is on the show. Fightful Select had reported that he would be a regular moving forward.

In an upcoming match on Rampage, Lio Rush is set to face Action Andretti, with the opportunity to secure a spot in the TNT Championship ladder match at Forbidden Door.
