This former AEW star has broken a brand-new record.

Earlier this week, AEW star Evil Uno’s promotion, Mystery Wrestling promotion, and C*4 Wrestling’s ‘Fighting Back’ campaign hosted a 16-man match.

The bout began on the afternoon of Monday, August 11th, and finished in the morning of Tuesday, August 12th, in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. The match was streamed live for free on Twitch and YouTube.

Ex-AEW star Stu Grayson came out victorious in the match by pinning Junior Benito and earned a major record and honor in his name.

The other stars present alongside Grayson in this record-breaking bout were Top Dog, Xander Orion, Dante Dubois, Alvin Turner, Jason Exile, Mathis Myre, Gabriel Floyd, HADDY, Jeff Fury, Cecil Nyx, Dreya Mitchell, Katrina Creed, KJ Swayde, and Joe Jobber.

Following his victory, Grayson shared his success on X(Twitter) and revealed more details about the match.

I’m the winner of the longest wrestling match ever ! Praise me ! 21 hours, 49 minutes, 12 seconds! We raised over $38 000 for the cancer society !!!

The match surpassed the previously held title of the ‘longest match ever’ from an Ehime Pro Wrestling event in 2021, which had a runtime of 21 hours, 44 minutes, and 34 seconds. However, despite Grayson’s performance in the nearly 22-hour match, Evil Uno claimed that the organization would not recognize the match, due to Guinness’ demand of $16,000 to make it official.

Former AEW World Champion Suffers Fractured Ankle

Former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe is currently busy filming ‘Twisted Metal’ season 2. However, during a recent interview, Joe revealed how he fractured his ankle while filming the show and might now be sidelined from in-ring action for a while.

“I’m doing great, Mike. Season one was fun in the fact that Twisted Metal’s a property that I’m very familiar with. I grew up playing the games, spent hours on the couch blowing up all my friends for days at a time when the game first came out. It was definitely a deep understanding of the games and the lore, throughout the series through Black and beyond.

Sitting down with our showrunner, Michael Jonathan Smith, and figuring out what characteristics we wanted to pick from each iteration of Sweet Tooth to create this one for the television show — going back through the games, watching cut scenes, getting a vibe for Sweet Tooth at his most violent and Sweet Tooth at his silliest — and bringing that together, that really was the initial.

Getting together with Will Arnett and figuring out how this guy acts, his mannerisms, his quirks, that was also a fun process. Coming into second season, we had the system down pretty well, and it was much smoother and a lot easier to slip into.”

“Normally, I would say the ring is always a much more precarious place to be in, but halfway through the season, I fractured my ankle. It was just parking, and I had to hop out the back on some really rocky, busted-up asphalt. I turned my ankle and spent the rest of the season taping it up and limping through it.”
