Former AEW Star Pulled From Indy Show Due To Controversial Social Media Outburst

A wrestler previously signed to AEW has faced repercussions following their online activity earlier in the week.

On November 5th and 6th, the US Presidential Election dominated social media with users all around the world expressing their opinions one way or the other about Donald Trump’s victory. In a series of posts that were grammatically incorrect, former AEW wrestler Jake Hager made a number of claims that he was silenced by “communist” Tony Khan while also making controversial statements about his support of Trump.

The posts have since been deleted but one promotion has taken notice. While Hager was previously scheduled to appear for Blitzkrieg! Pro in December, the promotion has since made a statement informing the fans that Hager will not be appearing:

Jake Hagar will no longer be appearing on December 14th in Enfield, CT. On top of sponsors no longer being willing to work with him, we also just have to do what we think is right for our roster and fans. We’re going to get to work on a replacement asap, however, a few people that are signed to appear

Former AEW Star Jake Hager Responds To Cancellation

In response to the post, Hager reposted a comment from one disgruntled fan who accused the promotion of denying the paying fans the opportunity to see Hager, to which Blitzkrieg responded that tickets have not gone on sale for this show yet,

Tony Khan has not commented on the posts from Hager.
