Toni Storm is back in AEW but with a twist.
On the December 11th episode of Dynamite’s ‘Winter is Coming’, Toni Storm made her long-awaited return to the Jacksonville-based promotion. After Mariah May defeated Mina Shirakawa, Storm appeared on stage and cut short May’s celebration.
The return came with a twist. Ditching her ‘Timeless’ gimmick, Storm has again embraced her rockstar character. However, ever since her return, Storm has been behaving like she just signed with All Elite Wrestling and has not been there for the past three years.
Speaking on her interesting character arc, former All Elite Wrestling star, Matt Hardy recently addressed it on his The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast. Interested to see how it follows up, Hardy said,
It is interesting. It’ll be interesting to see how they follow up on it. I did see those clips on social media — I’m intrigued to see where they go with it, if it is like two separate split personalities or does she have no knowledge that she was Timeless Toni Storm. I don’t know, we’ll see which way they go with it. I feel like what’s important is that they just follow up and whatever path they end up choosing, they stay very consistent with it.”

Since her return, Storm last competed on the 12th December episode of Collision against Shazza McKenzie.
Toni Storm Confuses AEW Star With Her Promo
After her 14th December victory against Shazza McKenzie, Toni Storm cut a backstage promo and seemingly confused former ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe.
Man to be out there in front of those people, to be in the ring with people like Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale and Hikaru Shida. I can’t believe it. I’m gonna wake up in the morning and think this is all a dream.
This is Mark Briscoe! I’m Toni Storm, nice to meet you. It doesn’t get much better than that huh? Well, I guess its Toni Time!”
While Storm displayed her enthusiasm, Briscoe stood there dumbfounded.
