Former AEW Star Blasts “Coward” Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa

Although she hasn’t wrestled a match since the August 10th set of AEW Dark: Elevation tapings, Thunder Rosa continues to make headlines.

Back in September 2020, the AEW Women’s Champion tangled with Ivelisse as she defended the NWA Women’s Championship. Although it was Thunder Rosa who picked up the win, the match is best remembered for descending into a shoot fight. Spots were no sold, and real punches were thrown. The issues between the two women were nothing new, as they had previously clashed in Lucha Underground.

Ivelisse Calls Out “Coward Piece Of Sh*t” Thunder Rosa

In a new post on social media, Ivelisse took the opportunity to remind fans of the now infamous clash, with a video clip of Rosa punching her in the face before grabbing her by the hair.

“Never forget the moment this b decided to be a coward piece of sh and shoot punch me when she was supposed to block my shot + something else, and also the balls to pull my hair this way. She lucky I’m a pro and didn’t proceed to break her jaw”

Ivelisse continued to appear with All Elite Wrestling until April 2021 when the star claimed that she had been released as a result of a backstage misunderstanding with Rosa. Since then the Puerto Rican star has retuned to independent scene and has made appearances with SHINE and more recently CMLL.

Thunder Rosa is currently dealing with a back injury which caused her to pull out of a proposed AEW Women’s Title Match at All Out against Toni Storm. In her absence, Storm became Interim Women’s Champion, a title she still holds today. After it was announced that Rosa would be taking a break from the ring numerous negative reports began to emerge about her conduct backstage. It was reported that the star had acted badly towards extras, and had heat with Jamie Hayter, while she and Britt Baker “couldn’t stand one another.”

A more recent report from October suggested that the issues between the pair remain unsolved.
