Former AEW Champion Seemingly Injured At Full Gear 2024

AEW Full Gear

AEW Full Gear began on a high note and is going strong.

The Full Gear PPV started with a bang and has already produced several exceptionally good matches. With a star-studded zero-hour, the promotion later followed it up with an even better main card.

The Private Party successfully defended their tag-team titles in the first match of the night, MJF defeated Roderick Strong in the second match, and it was Mercedes Mone who remained victorious in her battle against Kris Statlander.

However, despite a dominating start from Statlander, the former TBS champion lost momentum after seemingly injuring her knee. The CEO took advantage of the moment and consistently attacked her knee to maintain the upper hand.

Toward the closing stages of the bout, as Statlander tried to perform a Piledriver on Mone, she would bite Kris Statlander’s leg and pin her using a roll-up. Mone, stunned, enjoyed her win from the ringside while security led the injured Statlander out.

Although not confirmed yet, the AEW announcer’s team constantly mentioned Statlander possibly suffering an injury. We shall keep updating this story as we receive more updates about Kris Statlander.

Everyone here at Inside The Ropes wishes Kris Statlander a safe and steady recovery.

The promotion is also sowing the seeds of a betrayal between Mone and Kamille. Over the past few weeks, there has been a visible tension between the two, and during tonight’s Zero-Hour, Mone publicly berated Kamille for the past incidents and asked her to stay backstage during her match.

As the promotion teases a breakup between these two, another popular faction is undergoing a similar fate.

AEW Star Anthony Bowens Addresses Rumors Of The Acclaimed Breaking Up

In an interview with ROAR Around The Ring, Anthony Bowens opened up the possibility of his team breaking up. Over the past few weeks, fans have witnessed teases of a breakup between them, and now Bowens has cleared up the surrounding air.

What do you mean if something that could work? The Acclaimed are the best tag team, like I said, in the history of AEW. Max and I, we have a lot more stuff that we need to accomplish. I’m not particularly worried about anything that’s been happening. MVP can drop as many cards as he likes. Max is entitled to think about it, just like I’m entitled to think about it as well. So I am a lot more focused on making sure we get a W this Saturday at Full Gear, and I’m sure he is too.”
