Former AEW Champion Open To WWE Return

WWE Preparing For Arrival Of AEW Star

A former champion who has won gold in AEW and in WWE would be interested in making a return to their former company.

After announcing her retirement in 2018 due to a previous neck injury, Paige’s time in the ring looked to be over. Remaining a part of the company for 4 more years in various non-wrestling roles, the former Women’s Champion announced her departure in June 2022.

Later that year, the British star officially became All Elite with a shock debut at Grand Slam under her real name Saraya. Shortly after the signing, Saraya made the announcement that much like Adam Copeland and Bryan Danielson, she was cleared to compete again after seemingly being forced to retire due to a career-ending injury. Finding success in the promotion, Saraya captured the Women’s Championship at the first All In at Wembley Stadium in 2023.

As Saraya’s contract is set to expire in September, the British wrestler was asked if a WWE return could be on the cards while speaking with Booker T on the Hall of Fame podcast:

“Yeah, so I love WWE and I don’t have any negative feelings towards them, I mean they raised me, they saved me a lot. I just appreciate them so much and the idea of going somewhere else was only because of the potential of my brother being there. That was like a big thing, I just wanted him to be a success in wrestling, you know? I love WWE and I would absolutely — if there was something that they needed from me which was exciting, I would definitely go there. Yeah, absolutely, it would be silly not to. If there’s an opportunity to do something fun, hell yeah, I’ll jump on board.”

AEW Star Saraya Teases Huge Announcement

The former Women’s Champion is currently on a media tour to promote her new autobiography, which is said to pull no punches and address some distressing topics. In a separate interview, Saraya hinted that she will have some big news to share with the fans soon.

H/t to Fightful.
