Thunder Rosa has made her current injury status very clear.

Thunder Rosa has been absent since the end of August, with her last in-ring action being a four-way match against Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, and Serena Deeb on the 31 August episode of AEW Collision. Rosa has since confirmed that this hiatus has been due to concussion.

Various reports throughout the last month have speculated when Thunder Rosa will be able to return. However, Rosa took to X to clarify her current status, and to put to bed any reports about her return date:

“STOP LYING ABOUT MY HEALTH. I’m NOT CLEARED AND WHEN I AM I WILL ANNOUNCE IT. I reserve the right to divulge my medical status. If you need information ask me directly or my team….”

Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Rosa emphasised the danger of concussions and the importance of proper care:

“If you feel like you have a concussion, make sure you stop. Don’t get in there. It’s not worth it. I can tell you, right now, I’m suffering a concussion, so I’m gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple weeks.”

Thunder Rosa is no stranger to injuries. Back in August 2022, she was forced to relinquish her AEW Women’s World Championship following ongoing back issues. This ended her near-six-month reign and put her out of action for over a year.
