On the April 12th episode of AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Shawn Spears will return to action on Rampage.
Spears signed with AEW back in 2019 and eventually joined The Pinnacle along with FTR, Wardlow, and MJF.
The former WWE Superstar was last seen on AEW television back in October when he reunited with FTR. This led him to team with the pair on the October 13th edition of Rampage against The Embassy.
Although he hasn’t featured for AEW, Spears returned to the ring after a short break in March when he appeared for Wrestle Pro.
In a promo video Spears said that he was working his way towards MJF, and that journey begins with his match against Jungle Boy. You can find the full spoilers for Rampage below.
“I’m baaaack. MJF, the man who left The Pinnacle for dead is your new AEW World Champion. God, I wonder what that feels like. Let’s be honest I have no idea what that feels like. But this Friday night on Rampage when I get through Jungle Boy I will be one step closer to running into you Maxi. Why? Because I said it before and I’ll say it again, that every day in every way, Shawn Spears is a ten.”
