“Forget You Ever Knew Me”: Jim Cornette Ashamed Of Former WWE Star For Endorsing Donald Trump

Jim Cornette

Jim Cornette has blasted a former WWE star for showing their support for Donald Trump.

The 2024 US Presidential Election saw its latest development on July 18th as Trump officially accepted the nomination to be the Republican Party candidate at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Among the guest speakers at the event were UFC President Dana White, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon and retired wrestler Hulk Hogan, who gave a bizarre speech of support that included Hogan ripping his shirt off and comparing Trump and running mate JD Vance to The Megapowers.

While many have mocked Hogan’s speech and the event in general, former WWE star Nick Dinsmore, best known for his time as Eugene, saw things differently. Taking to social media, Dinsmore issued the following statement accompanied with a “Trumpamania” graphic in the same style as Hulk Hogan’s signature red and yellow branding:

Eugene has NEVER been more proud to be a ⁦@HulkHogan fan! ⁦@realDonaldTrump #Trumpamaniacs

“I’m Ashamed Of You”: Jim Cornette Hits Back At Nick Dinsmore

Cornette has been categorically against Trump and the Republican administration for many years and has let his feelings be known about the 2024 candidate numerous times. Responding to Dinsmore, Cornette called out the former wrestler for his support of Trump and asked the former Tag Team Champion to forget he ever knew him and he would do the same:

Nick, “Eugene” is a gimmick. You went to school, you know what an unfit piece of filth you’re endorsing, that means you think there’s something in it for you to advocate for a despicable lying wretch. Please forget you ever knew me, I’ll do the same for you. I’m ashamed of you.

Dinsmore was originally a part of WWE from 2004 to 2007. The former Tag Team Champion returned in 2013 as a trainer but was released one year later.
