First-Time WWE Title Contender Crowned

Top star was on WWE RAW

New WWE title contenders crowned on Raw.

A few weeks ago, on the June 30th episode of Raw, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) to become the brand-new WWE tag-team champions.

Looking to reclaim their titles, fans witnessed The New Day collide against LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) and The American Made(Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) tonight on the July 21st episode of Raw in a number one contenders match.

However, following an interference from Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano, fans saw Joaquin Wilde steal the victory from The New Day as he quickly rolled up Kingston and earned his team a pinfall victory.

The duo of Wilde and Del Toro last challenged for tag titles back in 2022 for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Now, almost after a span of three years, the duo is again in line for a championship victory. Their victory tonight also provided the fans with the chance of witnessing a fresh new match-up after a series of the same bouts.

We at ITR Wrestling shall update the story as the upcoming LWO vs Judgment Day match becomes official.

WWE Legend Not In Favor Of This SummerSlam Feud Buildup

Recently speaking on his 1 of a Kind podcast, Hall of Famer Rob Vam Dam called out the usage of celebrities in pro-wrestling and especially called out the current WWE situation ahead of SummerSlam 2025, with both Logan Paul and Jelly Roll scheduled for a match.

“You have to be an athlete to be able to do it. And so, like for me, it’s always offensive, because I take the perspective that in order to have a celebrity take a spot on a wrestling card, everyone else has to work around them to make it look like just anybody could do it. And I don’t like that, because not everybody could do it… It’s always insulting, though, for me, like when people feel like it’s, like it’s easy, like we’re just playing, or like just anybody can do it.

I always will feel defensive about the fact that my career took an incredible amount of physicality, an amazing amount of durability to be able to take, you know, a s**t load of punishment on a nightly basis, besides having the talent to even pick up the timing and have cool moves and any of that. And so I feel like a lot of that just gets thrown out the window in order to fu**ing make, make this work.”
