First Time Singles Match Discussed For Double Or Nothing

AEW Double Or Nothing

AEW’s Double or Nothing card is already stacked, but another first time ever singles match is being discussed for the event!

All Elite Wrestling’s next pay-per-view is Double or Nothing, which will take place on Sunday, 29 May from the T-Mobile Arena. Marquee matches for the event see ‘Hangman’ Adam Page defending the AEW World Championship against CM Punk, Wardlow getting his hands on MJF, and the finals of the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Though the card already features ten matches, there is another match being discussed for the Double or Nothing card according to a new report from Fightful Select, and it’s a match that would see two stars go one on one for the very first time.

According to the report, Sting will not be traveling to Las Vegas for Double or Nothing as he’s sustained an injury, but his tag team partner Darby Allin is expected to be in attendance and may be set to go one on one with the Undisputed Elite’s Kyle O’Reilly, who gave Sting an on-screen injury with a chair on the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite.

Fightful Select notes that the match is expected to be announced on Friday’s episode of Rampage, but that nothing is final until an announcement is made and plans could change. Darby Allin did post on Twitter that he had “a plan heading into Sunday.”

As it stands, there are ten matches currently planned for the pay-per-view, including four of the five official AEW championships being defended. The full card for the event can be found below:
