First Match In Queen’s Crown Tournament Revealed

WWE Queen's Crown Tournament

The first-ever Queen’s Crown tournament is set to get underway on SmackDown with a clash between two bitter rivals.

Posting on social media WWE confirmed that the first match to place in the new tournament will see Liv Morgan taking on Carmella. The pair have clashed on multiple occasions in recent weeks with Morgan threatening to damage the face of the self-styled “most beautiful woman in WWE.”

After Morgan defeated Carmella at Extreme Rules, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion sought revenge on the most recent episode of the blue brand. However, the match was over before it even started with Carmella donning a new mask before laying out Morgan.

Meanwhile, the first match in the 2021 King of the Ring tournament has also been revealed. On October 8th Sami Zayn and Rey Mysterio will battle it out for a place in round two.

It was initially reported back in August that the King of the Ring tournament would be returning for the first time since 2019. While plans for the first ever Queen’s Crown, originally believed to be called Queen of the Ring, were reported in July.

It has also been noted that the finals of both tournaments will take place at WWE Crown Jewel on October 21st in Saudi Arabia.

Also announced for SmackDown, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks will hold a contract signing for their match at Crown jewel.
