WWE ThunderDome At Tropicana Field – First Look

The first image of the new WWE ThunderDome being built inside Tropicana Field, the next venue for RAW and SmackDown, has been revealed, courtesy of Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360.

WWE confirmed that the ThunderDome would move from the Amway Center in Orlando to Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay beginning with the December 11th episode of SmackDown on FOX, and the photo released by Alba shows the “dome” and screens being erected ahead of Friday’s show in the middle of the vast Tropicana Field in Florida.

WWE previously confirmed that RAW, SmackDown and pay-per-view programming will all be produced at Tropicana Field on strictly closed sets with only essential personnel in attendance. WWE will continue to administer its health and safety protocols for talent, crew and employees in conjunction with each production, including PCR testing for COVID-19, social distancing and wearing masks when talent is not in the ring.

We at Inside The Ropes had exclusively reported on plans to leave the ThunderDome back in September, but the contract was since extended for one month.
