WWE Superstar Edge has been feature in a teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series ‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’.
The ‘Rated-R Superstar’ is set to star as Ares, god of war, in the highly anticipated series that is set to premiere on the streaming service in December.
The series is based on Rick Riordan’s best-belling book pentalogy telling the story of 12 year-old Percy Jackson, a demigod who is a descendant of the Greek god Poseidon.
We’ve been expecting you.

Edge, real name Adam Copeland, will star alongside young actor Walker Scobell as well as familiar screen actors Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place) and Megan Mullaley (Will & Grace).
It is not Copeland’s first foray into the acting world having previously made memorable appearances Syfi series Haven and medieval drama Vikings. The Canadian has also had a lead role in WWE Studios comedy film Bending The Rules.
Is Edge Set To Retire From The Ring?
With the WWE Hall Of Famer now approaching 50 years of age, he could be set for more acting work as his in-ring career winds down.
The former WWE Champion defeat Sheamus on last Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown in Toronto, a bout he declared as his last in his home city when addressing the crowd after the match.
Edge also revealed to ET Canada last week that the encounter with the ‘Celtic Warrior’ was also the last on his current WWE contract, though many expect that the former Brood member would likely end his career at WrestleMania:
“Here’s what I can honestly say, and this isn’t the answer everyone wants. I truly don’t know. I really really, with 100% truth can say I don’t know. That’s strange for me, but I don’t. I really don’t. I’ve put some thought into it, but not a lot. This is the last match on my current contract. I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.”
