First Ever WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Crowned

We have the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Following in the footsteps of the inaugural women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyria has been crowned the inaugural women’s Intercontinental Champion. Facing Dakota Kai in a short yet violent fast-paced match on the 13th January edition of Raw, Valkyria kept the Damage CTRL member down with the Nightwing to earn the gold.

This marked Valkyria’s first-ever title on the main roster. She is a former Women’s NXT Champion. On the other hand, Kai is also a 4-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, although she has never won a singles gold in the promotion. Throughout December, both the stalwarts competed in multiple matches to reach this stage.

Even in defeat, Kai displayed exemplary sportsmanship, earning the respect of the crowd and Valkyria, by concluding the segment and raising the champ’s arm.

General manager Adam Pearce crowned Valkyria with the new championship before she posed in front of a roaring and cheering crowd.

The outcome of the tournament final was earlier revealed in a spoiler report by Dr. Chris Featherstone.

Former AEW Star Penta Has Finally Made His WWE Debut

On the same 13th January episode of Raw, former AEW star and ex-Impact World Champion, Penta aka Pentagon Jr. finally made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut. After months of speculations and weeks of teases, Penta appeared as Chad Gable’s surprise opponent and defeated The American-Made leader to begin the ‘Penta new era’.
