First Details Officially Announced For WWE 2K25

The countdown to WWE 2K25 has officially begun.

After first teasing news on social media with a short clip playing The Undertaker’s signature bell toll in the background, 2K Games have officially announced that the Deadman Edition will be one of the special versions of the game available soon:

While no further details have been announced, this could potentially be additional iterations of The Deadman’s characters over the years such as the American Badass or Ministry of Darkness Taker. Alternatively, this could also hint at the Hall of Famer being the subject of the Showcase mode that has become a popular feature in the games. While 2K14 had a Beat The Streak challenge that saw players attempt to break or defend the legendary undefeated WrestleMania Streak, The Deadman has not seen his career immortalised in videogame form.

Previous stars featured in the showcase mode include Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio and John Cena.

Who Will Be The Cover Star For WWE 2K25?

While it remains unknown at this time who will be given the honour of being the cover star of the game, a recent episode of Raw heavily implied who it would be. As seen on the Raw on Netflix debut on January 6th, Roman Reigns was seen talking with Paul Heyman. Reigns stated that he wanted to be acknowledged on January 27th. Reigns was seen walking past a door with the WWE 2K25 logo shortly after referencing January 27th.

It is also stated on 2K’s social media that more details are set to be announced on January 28th, which is likely to be the official press release after the cover star is revealed.

WWE 2K24 saw Cody Rhodes grace the cover for the standard edition with Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair on the cover for the deluxe edition.

At the time of writing, no further details have been provided regarding release date or how many versions will be available. ITR Wrestling will provide more updates on WWE 2K25 when they become available.
