Fans singing Seth Rollins’ theme song at his rivals might have become the norm, but Finn Balor isn’t happy about it.
The rivalry between the two men began back in 2016 when Balor defeated Rollins to become the first-ever Universal Champion, only to get injured in the match meaning he had to relinquish the gold the very next night.
Since then the pair have been largely apart but were recently thrown back together on Raw, and Balor has made it clear he wants revenge and Rollins’ World Heavyweight Title.
As the feud intensified Balor addressed Rollins and his search for payback on Raw only to be met with a chorus of Rollins’ theme song from fans.
During an appearance on After The Bell, Balor broke down his frustration with the situation.
“I felt disrespected. Obviously, the fans are there, they paid their money to, you know, have their voice heard. And they’re entitled to that. But for me personally, after what I’ve gone through and lost over the last seven years at the hands of Seth Rollins, personally, I felt disrespected, because I’d waited seven years to tell people and tell Seth most importantly, how I felt. And for his supporters, to just drown out what I had pent up in me for seven years was disrespectful.
And that disrespect has now been turned into anger that I need to relieve by defeat and Seth Rollins for not only for the World Heavyweight Championship, but for vengeance over what he took from me.”
Finn Balor To Challenge Seth Rollins At WWE Money In The Bank
Finn Balor will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at Money In The Bank on July 1st. Should Balor win, it will be his first World Championship victory since claiming the Universal Title back in 2016, and his first taste of championship gold of any kind since a stint with the United States Title in early 2022.
