Finn Balor has “nothing but respect” for former NXT foe Samoa Joe, who now reigns as the ROH World Television Champion.
The Judgement Day leader took to Twitter to congratulate Samoa Joe following ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’ making the second successful defence of the ROH TV championship. Joe retained the title over Jay Lethal at ROH Death Before Dishonor.
Replying to Joe’s tweet, stating “We don’t lose in Lowell”, Finn Balor said that he had “nothing but respect” for his “big bro”.

What makes this interaction so wholesome is that Lowell, a Massachusetts city located just 30 miles from Boston, is where Samoa Joe won his first NXT Championship. The former WWE commentator pinned Balor during an NXT live event in April 2016, marking a rare house show title change.
Joe made his return to Ring Of Honor at Supercard of Honor, coming to the aid of Jonathan Gresham and Lee Moriarty against Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. He’s since appeared in both ROH and AEW, making it to the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and capturing the TV title from Minoru Suzuki.
Finn Balor, meanwhile, currently serves as the leader of WWE’s Judgement Day trio alongside Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. ‘The Prince’ ousted Edge from the group to take over leadership on the post-Hell in a Cell broadcast of Raw.
