Finn Balor Mocks WWE Fans Over Booking Criticism

Finn Balor has had some fun at the expense of the WWE fans.

On the June 24th edition of Raw, Balor began his 3rd reign as Tag Team Champion alongside JD McDonagh. Defeating The Awesome Truth thanks to an assist from Liv Morgan, The Judgment Day are once again at the top of the division. However, due to their lack of defences, fans could be forgiven for forgetting who the champions are.

In the 10 weeks that followed the title change, Balor has only competed in 5 televised matches and has made no defences of the Tag Team Championships. The stat was picked up by fans online with some being critical of the fact that the titles have been defended so infrequently. Aware of the discourse, Balor responded but was not exactly concerned.

Taking to social media, Balor simply pointed out that he was working smarter and not harder:

Also joining in, Balor’s tag partner McDonagh posted the following in response:

Has it been that long?! We’re killing it!

At the time of writing, no Tag Team Championship matches have been booked for The Judgment Day for future TV or Premium Live Event tapings.

Top WWE Star Calls For More Matches With Finn Balor

Originally set to face Gunther in 2020, the COVID pandemic prevented a dream match from happening at that time. 4 years later Balor and Guther finally faced off on Raw, very much living up to expectations. While many fans wanted to see more from Finn Balor and Gunther, the World Heavyweight Champion agrees.
