Finn Balor – “I Love The Idea Of The Forbidden Door”

Finn Balor

Over the course of his career, Finn Balor has wrestled all over the world in numerous different promotions and The Prince hasn’t given up hope of doing so again.

The subject of the Forbidden Door remains a hot topic with numerous wrestlers moving through multiple promotions throughout 2021. During the past year, Kenny Omega has held World Championships in three different companies, a number of New Japan stars have appeared in AEW and Deonna Purrazzo is now a double champion.

Despite WWE staying in their own lane thus far, Finn Balor hasn’t given up hope of wrestling elsewhere.

Speaking in a new interview with Cultaholic, Balor says that he would love the opportunity to test himself in other companies if WWE could make it happen.

“I love the idea of the Forbidden Door,”

“I feel if I have the opportunity to wrestle in Japan or Mexico or Europe, for whatever promotion, I’d love the opportunity to be able to do it. Obviously, contractually with WWE, they take care of all my dates and bookings and travel and organize everything. If somehow we could set up a relationship with WWE and these other brands touring around the world, I would love to challenge myself from different performers from different regions.”

Balor has been open about his desire to test himself in different settings, recently revealing that he pitched to join NXT UK ahead of returning to SmackDown in July.

On the September 3rd edition of the blue brand, Balor challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. After being attacked by The Usos before the match, The Prince fought valiantly before passing out in the guillotine.

After the match there were the first hints that Balor might be about to tap into his ‘Demon’ persona. With Reigns heading back up the ramp, the lights flashed red with the sound of a heartbeat, reminiscent of Balor’s entrance theme as ‘The Demon.’

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Balor will have another shot at Reigns at Extreme Rules.
