A Number Of Figures “Very Concerned” About Adam Cole

Adam Cole

Adam Cole hasn’t wrestled since competing at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 26th. On that occasion the star clashed with Hangman Adam Page, Jay White and Kazuchika Okada in a bid to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

During the bout Cole suffered a concussion, just weeks after reportedly suffering a similar issues during a match with Samoa Joe. Official updates on the star’s condition have been thin on the ground, although it was noted in October that he had suffered a “real bad concussion.”

People Are Very Concerned About Adam Cole

Ahead of AEW Full Gear on November 19th, AEW President Tony Khan held a media call and discussed a number of topics around the card, the CM Punk situation and the future of not only All Elite Wrestling but Ring of Honor. While Adam Cole wasn’t mentioned on the call, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that it’s “very concerning” that he’s been out for the best part of five months. Meltzer adds that a number of people are now very concerned about the star.

“Adam Cole’s situation was never asked about, but it’s very concerning since he’s been out since 6/26 in the four-way IWGP title match with Adam Page, Jay White and Kazuchika Okada. A number of people have brought up being very concerned for him.”

Adam Cole hasn’t appeared on AEW television since August where he and reDRagon turned on the Young Bucks, ending The Undisputed Elite.

The former NXT star made his debut with AEW at All Out in September 2021 where he aligned with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. As Omega took time out to recover from a number of injuries, Cole assumed control of The Elite and was quickly joined by Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish.

Cole went on to challenge for the AEW World Championship on two occasions, but was ultimately successful.

In some good injury news for the company, Tony Khan revealed that Hangman Adam Page is “doing well” after suffering a concussion during a recent match on Dynamite with Jon Moxley.
