Fatu/Tankman Set For MLW’s Never Say Never

Calvin Tankman is set to challenge for Jacob Fatu’s MLW World Heavyweight Championship at their Never Say Never television special.

The match, which was was announced following Fatu’s successful title defense against Jordon Oliver on this week’s edition of MLW Fusion, will see two of the company’s top heavyweights go head to head.

Fatu has held MLW’s top prize for upwards of six hundred days, having claimed the belt from ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor at the 2019 King of Colosseum event.

As part of the successful Contra Unit stable, Fatu has seen off challenges from the likes of Davey Boy Smith Jr and international AEW star CIMA.

Tankman, on the other hand, is a relative newcomer to MLW, having been signed in 2020 and debuted later that year as part of the company’s #TheRestart series.

He thus far holds a 4-0 win/loss record in the company, with a notable win over AAA star Laredo Kid coming this past week on Fusion.

Never Say Never is the second of MLW’s free-to-air specials this year and follows January’s Kings of Colosseum event.

The show will be broadcast for free on MLW’s YouTube channel at 7pm Eastern time / 12am GMT on Wednesday, March 31st.
