Fandango has revealed he is set to start with a company shortly and it will be on TV.
Fandango was released from the WWE in June 2021 after a long tenure with the organisation spanning 15 years. Originally debuting on TV as Johnny Curtis on the gameshow version of NXT, he won Season 4 of the show earning himself and his pro-R-Truth a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Then in 2013, he made his debut as Fandango with a shock victory over Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29 in a period that remains fondly remembered for the star’s popular theme song and interaction with the live crowd. Later, Fandango would find himself teaming up with Tyler Breeze to form Breezeango. The duo went on to successfully capture the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Since being released from his contract, Fandango has gone by the name of Dirty Dango and has now revealed he could be set to return to our screens in the near future.
While speaking on Café De René with Rene Dupree, Dango responded to a question asking about his upcoming schedule by saying that he was starting with a company soon, and it will be on TV:
“I’m starting with a company soon, I think in the next couple of weeks that I can’t really talk about, but it should be on TV. I mean it will be on TV.”
In addition to being active on the independent circuit, Dango currently continues to compete for the NWA where he was most recently in action on the September 27 episode of NWA Pretty Empowered Surge.
