Reports have emerged that fan signs for a former WWE talent were allegedly taken away during last night’s tapings of RAW.
Wrestling fans have always been vocal, especially when their favorite wrestlers are let go. One of the best examples of the same was when R-Truth was reportedly leaving. Probably not wanting to be in a similar situation after the much-publicised exit of Karrion Kross, WWE allegedly confiscated fan signs that had his name on them during last night’s live episode of RAW.
As reported by Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, he said that he had heard about it from people who had attended the show. He added that a lot of people thought there would be Karrion Kross chants on the red brand’s show. However, that was not the case. Meltzer also noted that he spotted a few signs and didn’t see anyone taking them away. He went on to reiterate that he knew someone who was in attendance who confirmed that signs were indeed confiscated by WWE:
You know they did confiscate some of the signs tonight. [Yeah?], I mean, nobody chanted, and I heard from several people at the show, and they said, you know, people thought people might chant, nobody chanted, there were a few signs in the crowd, I didn’t see anyone taking them away, and I did see them later in the show. But someone who was there said, ‘Yeah, they absolutely took the signs away.’ Because when I was watching, I see the signs right there on the screen and go man, if they don’t want you to do this, they are taking those signs away, which they actually did! So there you go.”
Metlzer added that another reason there were fewer signs was that the show was in Quebec City, where the crowd usually doesn’t bring too many signs or isn’t too vocal, stating that the situation at next week’s taping in Philadelphia could be the opposite, as the crowd can be very raucous:
I wonder if it’s Quebec City, [and] they don’t get a lot of stuff, I think that when they go to Philadelphia, which is where RAW will be next Monday, that will be an interesting one because that is a more rebel crowd, so we will see what happens.”
WWE Universe Points Out Lack Of Karrion Kross Chants On Last Night’s Episode of RAW
Karrion Kross had one of the most vocal fanbases in recent times. However, this did not translate to last night’s episode, which was the first after he and Scarlett had exited the company, which is in sync with Dave Meltzer’s report.
Many fans on X/Twitter pointed out there was a lack of ‘We Want Kross’ chants this week, something that had become a common occurrence over the last few months. Currently, it is unknown if this is due to a lack of interest or if fans were instructed not to do the chant by WWE.
