Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Tyler Breeze and Fandango, known collectively as Breezango, will reunite for an independent show in October.

The pair will return to tag team action for NGW: Tennessee at their October 8th show ‘Nightmare in The Old City’.

Appearing under the name Dirty Breeze, the pair reunite for the first time since their final WWE outing, a victory over Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci on the June 15th 2001 edition of NXT.

Breeze returned to action at NGW’s Wrestle Wars event in Knoxville, Tennessee earlier this month and defeated Matt Cross to become the NGW:TN Champion whilst Fandango has been a regular fixture on IMPACT Wrestling, competing as Dirty Dango.

It was also revealed recently that Tyler Breeze, now performing as BREEZE, is still on the WWE payroll due to his work with the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel.

WWE Tag Team Was Championed by Road Dogg

Speaking on Felger & Massarotti, Fandango revealed the details behind the formation of the team and believes the pair may have been close to release at the time. He went on to credit a WWE official with helping the duo in their time of need:

“Breeze and I, we weren’t really doing too much at the time on TV. So, I think they were actually making cuts, this was like 2015 or 2016, and I assume we were probably on the chopping block, and Vince didn’t think it was time to get rid of us quite yet. So what do you do and you got two floundering singles guys? You put them together.

Road Dogg was a big advocate for us because he was kind of the same situation back in his day where he was a singles guy, and they put him and Billy together. Obviously, they had a little bit better run than Breezango. But he helped us out a lot and gave us a little life to our careers there in WWE.”
