Differing opinions have been offered regarding people’s perceptions of CM Punk following the All Out backstage incident. For Reby Hardy, she couldn’t be more clear with her disliking of Punk as a direct result of his behaviour on September 4.
After her husband Matt Hardy revealed that comments he’d made on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast were taken out of context, he posted to Twitter, noting that he wasn’t backstage at All Out. Instead, he’d watched the events unfold in real-time as everyone else did.
Quote-tweeting, Reby made her opinion crystal clear – “f*ck CM Punk”.
Mine weren’t. Fuck CM Punk. https://t.co/pOo7BNKNqJ

Matt Hardy Stands Against CM Punk
Speaking on the aforementioned Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the older Hardy brother explained how he believes Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks did nothing wrong. Instead, he believes the group were the victims coming away from the incident:
“It’s going to be very interesting to see The Elite back, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. I’m very happy they are back. I will say this right here and right now, those guys didn’t do anything wrong in this situation. If anything, they were the victims.
I’m telling you that from a first-person perspective. I was there, I witnessed it all. I love all three of those guys. I’ve known Matt and Nick [Jackson] forever. I’ve just gotten to know Kenny while working with AEW. I’m very happy they are returning to TV and they are back in the mix. They deserve to be in the mix.”
The Elite are scheduled to return to AEW programming “imminently”, with two teaser videos playing across back-to-back episodes of AEW Dynamite. It appears they’re set for an AEW World Trios Championships contest vs. Death Triangle at Full Gear, per Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
