Ezekiel Stretchered Out Of Monday Night Raw

Ezekiel injured

After suffering a brutal attack from Kevin Owens, Ezekiel was stretchered out of Monday Night Raw.

Ever since Ezekiel appeared on the scene the night after WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens has been on a mission to prove that he’s really his brother Elias. Owens has tried everything to catch him in the lie, even administering a lie detector test (which Ezekiel passed) and attempting to test the star’s DNA. Unfortunately, the DNA results were contaminated with barbeque sauce.

Owens was further incensed when Elias himself returned to Monday Night Raw and reunited with his brother in a backstage segment, claiming that the reunion was done with camera tricks and that the two men were indeed the same person. He was meant to take on a member of the family on June 27th (though it was unknown whether he’d be facing Elias, Ezekiel, or the yet-unseen brother Elrod), but he was mysteriously absent from the show, claiming he didn’t want to go to Texas.

KO has appeared on Raw a handful of times since then, but was curiously absent last week. He returned on the August 8th episode to once again face Ezekiel, but as soon as the bell rang, he launched a vicious attack on Elias’ younger brother and delivered a pop up powerbomb on the ring apron.

After the match was called off due to Ezekiel being unable to continue, the star was put in a neck brace and stretchered out of the arena. Soon after, WWE reported that he’d been taken to a local medical facility.

With Ezekiel seemingly being written off television for the time being, it remains to be seen whether Elias or Elrod will make an appearance to avenge their brother against the vicious KO.

Later on in the episode, Kevin Patrick approached Owens backstage to question him about the attack. In the background of the interview, Nikki ASH and Doudrop could be seen reacting to an apparent car accident, which was never mentioned by the performers in the segment or the members on commentary. Police could be seen running during a future segment featuring Asuka and Alexa Bliss, and at the end of the show, it was revealed that a returning Dexter Lumis could be responsible.
