Ezekiel has revealed what his brother Elias is getting up to now that he is no longer on WWE television.
On the Raw after WrestleMania 38, Elias returned to WWE television with a completely new presentation and under a new name. Or did he?
The star, who hadn’t been seen on WWE television since the summer of 2021, arrived clean shaven, sporting shorter hair with completely new ring-gear. He also revealed that he was now called Ezekiel. Although, his only connection to Elias is that he is actually actually his younger brother, and they are very different people.
Since then, Kevin Owens has grown increasingly annoyed that he can’t prove that Elias and Ezekiel are the same person, even getting his rival to take a lie detector test.
During an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Ezekiel opened up about his relationship with his brother, revealing what he thinks the former NXT star is up to now he’s away from WWE television.
“It’s not like I talk to him all the time. If you guys remember, Elias is a bit of a drifter, he comes in and out, you never really know what he’s going to do. If I had to guess, he’s just out there doing a little bit of soul searching, a little bit of music playing. Maybe playing a little bar here and there,” Ezekiel explained, “playing shows like that to keep himself entertained. I haven’t talked to him all that recently but that’s my guess as to what he’s doing.”
He added that it was tough to watch his brother struggle to push through to the main event level, and it was something that bothered Elias too.
“Well listen, I love my brother. To anybody out there that has a brother, there’s really no bond like a brother’s bond. I can tell you as a fan watching Elias, it was like no matter what he did or what he tried, it was like he couldn’t break through to that next level. I wanted him to so bad, and then knowing him personally in that time,” Ezekiel noted, “I know that it really bothered him and he had to get away for a little while.”
Ezekiel was last in action on the May 2nd edition of Monday Night Raw where he teamed with the Street Profits in defeat against Alpha Academy and Kevin Owens.
