Ezekiel and Elias Reunite On WWE Raw [Video]

Ezekiel Elias

Ezekiel and Elias had a heart to heart as they appeared side by side on Monday Night Raw!

Ever since Ezekiel first came on the scene the night after WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens has been on a quest to prove that he and his older brother Elias are one in the same. For weeks, Owens has been enraged at the insistence that the two brothers are different people, even going as far as to administer a lie detector test and to secretly collect some of Ezekiel’s DNA (however, the results of the DNA test were corrupted by barbecue sauce).

Last week, Zeke announced that The Drifter would be making his return to Monday Night Raw to perform a highly anticipated concert, and fans wondered if they’d actually get to see the brothers appear together on screen.

Sure enough, while Elias was preparing for his concert, his younger brother came in to have a heart to heart as the two reunited for the first time in months.

The Drifter said that he’s been traveling around the world, but that nothing compares to being in front of a Monday Night Raw audience. When his brother asked if that was even true in a place like Nebraska – alluding to Elias’ previous tendency to throw shade at whatever location he was performing in – the musician said that he’s a changed man and that he’s been inspired by his younger brother’s success.

Ezekiel went on to say that Elias’ presence on the show means the world to him, and that their parents are probably watching them on television the same way they used to watch wrestling together growing up. He imagined what it would be like to win Money in the Bank and go on to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Elias encouraged his brother before saying he needed to tune his guitar, and the two fist bumped before ending their conversation.

After tuning his guitar, Elias appeared live in front of the Monday Night Raw crowd, and after expressing how much he’d missed being in front of a WWE audience, he said he would play a song dedicated to his little brother. However, after only a few guitar chords, Kevin Owens came out to interrupt him and say that he would put an end to this charade, insisting that he and his brother are one in the same, and that the conversation earlier had to be movie magic because anything can happen these days with special effects.

“I saw a movie with a dinosaur in it last week! I saw a T-Rex fly a helicopter, ok?!”

This brought Ezekiel to the tron, saying that he and his brother are two separate people and wished Elias good luck with his concert. The Drifter then began to sing a song about Kevin Owens being a liar, but an enraged Owens took the guitar and threw it aside. However, Elias got the last laugh when he smashed a guitar over Owens.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick asked Owens if he was finally convinced that the brothers were separate people, but an incensed Owens said the message on the tron must have been pre-recorded and he demanded a match with whichever brother would face him. To his chagrin, Ezekiel appeared beside him to accept the match, despite Elias still celebrating in the ring.

Elsewhere on Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair announced that Rhea Ripley was not medically cleared to compete at Money in the Bank, and that she needed a new number one contender. After a fatal five way match, Carmella emerged victorious and will have a chance to win the Raw Women’s Championship at the Premium Live Event.

Vince McMahon also made his presence known on Raw, his second television appearance since stepping down as WWE CEO. He appeared before the Lincoln, NE audience to hype up the return of John Cena next week, 20 years to the day that the former WWE Champion debuted on SmackDown.
