Tony Khan has commented on the possibility that Sting could make an appearance at the WWE Hall of Fame over WrestleMania weekend.
Ahead of WrestleMania, it was announced that Lex Luger would be one of the inductees at the 2025 ceremony. Following the announcement, Luger has stated in interviews that if it were up to him he would love to have both Sting and DDP join him onstage as part of his induction. However, with Sting currently being under contract with AEW, The Icon appearing alongside Luger at the ceremony is not as straightforward.
Back at Revolution 2024, Luger and DDP were in attendance for Sting’s last match but were not shown on camera. With this in mind, there has been some discourse over whether Sting would be able to make an appearance for WWE or if Khan would allow it to happen.
Tony Khan Has Not Talked To Sting About Potential Hall Of Fame Appearance
When asked about Sting potentially appearing at the WWE Hall of Fame by Inside The Ropes on the Dynasty media call, Khan stated that while he has spoken to Sting recently, the topic of potentially appearing at the WWE Hall of Fame has not come up and that he would have to discuss it with him:
“I’m not sure. I’m very focused on AEW Dynasty which is a few days away. I talked to Sting recently before AEW Revolution, looking back on some great memories. Of course, it’s hard to think of AEW Revolution without thinking of Sting. He debuted in AEW at Revolution and then ended his career at Revolution 3 years later so I’ll always think of Sting at Revolution season.
We caught up on the phone right around the pay-per-view and that was the last time we had spoken so haven’t heard from him about that. Certainly he’s doing very well and that relationship and that friendship means so much to me, and we’re all very grateful for Sting. […] I have to say the last time I talked to Sting, that didn’t come up but would have to talk to him about that.”
In recent news, Tony Khan has spoken about the success of AEW on HBO Max.
