“Except I’m Not A Racist” – MJF Blasts Comparisons To Disgraced Former WWE Star

MJF

MJF has been compared with some of the great and the good of professional wrestling, but one recent comparison was much less welcome.

The AEW World Champion is currently preparing to defend his title against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Ironman Match at Revolution on March 5th. In the lead-up to the match, the star shared footage of himself working out in the gym.

This sparked a slightly left-field response from one fan who took the opportunity to compare the Salt of the Earth to disgraced former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio. MJF quickly fired back and made it clear in no uncertain terms that he is nothing like the former WWE Champion.

“Except I’m not a racist. An abuser. A bad promo. A poser. A bitch. And a drug addict. And an over rated wrestler.”

Since leaving WWE in 2015, Del Rio has been engulfed in a series of legal problems with many centered around allegations of domestic violence.

MJF Set To Main Event Revolution

MJF won the AEW World Championship back at Full Gear when he defeated Jon Moxley with a helping hand from William Regal. Although it appeared that the star was set to join forces with the British legend, he later attacked him, and Regal left the company shortly after.

Despite being a central part of AEW television, MJF has only defended the title once to date, defeating Ricky Starks back in December. In fact, MJF has only wrestled once in 2023, overcoming Konosuke Takeshita on Dynamite in early February.
