After proving his loyalty to the family inside WarGames last Sunday, Sami Zayn appears to have finally been accepted into The Bloodline.
At Survivor Series, Zayn prevented his long-time close friend Kevin Owens from securing victory inside WarGames, pledging his allegiance to The Bloodline and seemingly earning the approval of Roman Reigns and Jey Uso in the process.
The Zayn-Bloodline saga has been one of the best told stories in WWE in recent years and fans were delighted to see the former El Generico become a part of the Samoan family’s faction. But a former WWE writer believes now is the perfect time for The Bloodline to turn on Zayn.
“He Is The Best Thing In WWE” Freddie Prinze Jr. On Sami Zayn
Speaking on his ‘Wrestling With Freddie’ podcast, former WWE writer and Hollywood actor Freddie Prinze Jr. spoke highly of Sami Zayn’s work over the last few months and also praised him for seizing an opportunity he may not have received under the Vince McMahon regime:
“He is the best thing in WWE. It’s not an indictment on Vince, but it is telling. He’s not what Vince McMahon would push as a top-shelf talent. To see him get just one opportunity and become the single most over wrestler outside of MJF … it’s telling.”
Prinze Jr. went on to suggest that now Sami Zayn has finally earned the respect of The Bloodline, it would be the perfect time for them to turn on him:
“Now would be the perfect time for them to turn on him, after he’s completely earned their respect. They can stretch this out as long as they want, but it would be pretty crazy now if they turned him out and beat his ass. Because then we’d love Sami even more.”
Sami Zayn’s removal from The Bloodline may well happen in the near future with recent reports suggesting that he is set to challenge Reigns at February’s Elimination Chamber event in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal.
