Jey Uso has found himself a supporter during his current low time.
Earlier this week, on the 9th June episode of WWE Raw, Gunther defeated Jey Uso in a dominant match and won back his World Heavyweight Championship. Earlier this year, Uso had won the 2025 Royal Rumble, earning himself a shot against The Ring General at WrestleMania 41, which he successfully achieved, and became a one-time World Champion.
However, while several fans connected with Uso’s run and cheered during his victories, another sect felt it was “forced”. Recently, following Jey Uso’s title loss, a fan commented on X(Twitter) and called out his entire run as a “forced push”.
“Jey uso is the most Forced wrestler to get pushed to the main event scene since big dog roman.”
However, Uso’s former colleague and ex-WWE star Baron Corbin, aka Tom Pestock, did not take the allegations lightly and made sure to shut down the troll. Calling out his comments, Corbin stated on X(Twitter),
“What the f**k are you talking about. He got over as organic as you can! Every crowd go nuts when his music hits. No insane moves needed. True definition of being over. Music = pop!”
While Uso’s run ended at 51 days, he now has a chance to gain it back. He was recently announced as the mystery participant in the 2025 King of the Ring qualifier match and is scheduled to face Sheamus, Rusev, and Bronson Reed on next week’s Raw.
Rikishi Blasts WWE Following Jey Uso’s World Championship Loss
Soon after his World title loss on Raw, Jey Uso’s father, Rikishi, publicly blasted WWE and let his thoughts be known. Speaking on his Off The Top Podcast, the Hall of Famer said.
“I didn’t think it was justice. I didn’t think it was fair. 51 days, that was it. I mean, Intercontinental belt, a short run, that was it. What is it against my boy? Would you have done that to Randy Orton? Would you have done that to John Cena? I mean let’s talk about it. The last time we see in WrestleMania 41, he had the whole arena yeeting. So come on, somebody tell me. Tell me what is it?”
“The Bloodline has given our heart and soul to this industry, 75-plus years, yet this is the way we are treated. This is the way y’all look at us. It ain’t right. We’ve never been a problem. The last I knew, The Bloodline from Roman Reigns all the down to the Usos, continuing down to Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, the last I knew, when it was COVID, fans weren’t allowed, who was there? Who kept WWE afloat? You wanna go there? Let’s do facts man. Let’s do facts. This was way before TKO came into the picture. It was on the backs of The Bloodline. Give Roman Reigns their props, give Uso their props. Give them their flowers.”
