Since WWE Worlds Collide, Lucha Libre AAA star Mr.Iguana has turned into an overnight sensation.
Currently, selling out merch on the promotion’s websites and delivering one of the most well-performing videos on socials, El Iguana is also reportedly on his way toward the promotion’s main roster.
However, former champion Baron Corbin recently mocked World Wrestling Entertainment over reports of Mr.Iguana’s push. Sharing his thoughts on X(Twitter), Corbin wrote,
“I’m not gonna lie. I would love it if every future Star just picks an animal and becomes an animal. Give me entire company is different animals from all over the world. That would make me laugh.”
The 36-year-old star last performed at the Worlds Collide PLE, where he teamed up with Aero Star and Octagon Jr. to defeat the trio of Lince Dorado & LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Dragon Lee).
Mr.Iguana Opens Up On His Upcoming WWE Push
In an interview with Línea Directa TV, the Mexican wrestler opened up on WWE’s plans for him and how the promotion directly wants him on the main roster.
“They told me, you’re not going through NXT — you’re heading straight to the main roster. We need you here because your shirt is the top seller in WWE, and you’re also the fastest-rising star when it comes to action figures and trading cards.”
