Ex-WWE Star Had Major Heat Prior To Big Match Victory

Former WWE Superstar Mansoor has opened up about the heat he experienced backstage following an event in Saudi Arabia.

Mansoor, who was released from WWE in September along with several other Superstars, his departure marked the end of his five-year tenure with the company. Mansoor initially joined WWE after being scouted during a tryout ahead of the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble event.

In a recent interview with Instinct Culture, Mansoor recounted a wrestling tradition of shaking hands with everyone you meet. However, upon his arrival at his first NXT show, his tag-team partner Mace informed him that it was not customary in WWE. Taking this advice to heart, Mansoor decided against shaking hands when he returned to Saudi Arabia for the 2019 Super ShowDown event, which turned out to be a massive mistake.

It was Mustafa Ali, Mansoor’s “wrestling dad” as he affectionately referred to him, who pulled him aside and informed him of the heat he had garnered. Ali explained that Mansoor’s failure to greet his colleagues, coupled with his victory in the Battle Royal, had caused dissatisfaction among the roster. Mansoor admitted feeling overwhelmed by the situation and regretted his decision.

I end up going to the Saudi show being like, ‘I’m not gonna bother anybody. I’m not gonna shake anybody’s hand. Huge mistake. Huge mistake. Who pulls me aside but my future wrestling dad, Mustafa Ali. He said, ‘Hey brother, I’m looking out for you because you and me, you know, we’re brothers. You got major heat. You got major heat because not only did you not say hi to everybody, you’re winning the damn Battle Royal that everybody got dragged over here for.
