A former WWE star appeared as one of Adam Rose’s ‘Rosebuds’ because she was “a brokea*s bit*h.”
Shelly Martinez was part of the WWE roster from 2005-2007 and is likely best known as Ariel, the vampiric valet of Kevin Thorn in WWE’s version of ECW.
Martinez assisted Thorn in many of his matches, and accompanied him during his brief rivalry with CM Punk in 2007. However, in May of that year, Martinez was released from her contract, something she has previously attributed to a heated conversation with Batista.
Martinez recently revealed on Ring The Belle that she did make one more appearance with the company, as one of Adam Rose’s partying Rosebuds.
“Yeah. I’ve been retired because after the TNA thing didn’t work, I went and continued in the Indies, and that’s when I was just like, ‘Dude, if I’m going to do this, it has to be worth the money, and the only way it’s going to be worth the money is if I go back to WWE.’
“So, I thought long and hard if that’s what I wanted to do. I actually got booked as a Rosebud. I don’t know if it was a little slap to my face or what they were trying to do, but I needed the money ’cause I was a brokea*s bit*h.”
Former WWE Star Was In Running To Be Sister Abigail
Durign the same interview, Shelly Martinez revealed she could have been cast as Sister Abigail. The star only found out when speaking to Bray Wyatt in 2015. Wyatt told her that he was a big fan and her name had been “thrown around” for the role.
