Brock Lesnar quite possibly changed this former WWE Champion’s career.
Debuting on the main roster as a part of The Shield, Roman Reigns soon went solo after the faction broke up in 2014, and started his singles journey. Astonishingly, while Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose) found their mark as singles stars fairly quickly, Reigns failed to connect with the audience at first, despite being the chosen one. Although things later changed when he turned heel in 2020 and introduced his Tribal Chief gimmick, raising his popularity to new heights.
Throughout his career as The Big Dog and The Tribal Chief, Reigns has experienced several feuds with The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and many more. However, the OTC believes his rivalry with Lesnar changed his career completely. Speaking to ESPN First Take, Reigns revealed The Beast Incarnate was his favorite opponent and implied that Lesnar had skyrocketed his career.
Brock Lesnar. My whole career changed once I got in the ring with him,” said Reigns.
The duo have faced each other multiple times, including three WrestleMania main events. They last faced each other at SummerSlam 2022 in a ‘Last Man Standing’ Match.
The former Universal Champion also opened up on his career’s proudest moment.
My 1316 day title reign, I can’t just pick one. There were so many in that [reign]. Just that reign alone is unprecedented,” he added.

Reigns’ run as the Universal Champion began at Payback 2020 and ended at WrestleMania 40, when he lost the title to Cody Rhodes.
