Ex-AEW Star Claims They Were Silenced By

An ex-AEW star has claimed that they were silenced by Tony Khan while also accusing them of being a communist.

Update: On November 6th, Hager deleted the social media posts and has not issued any further comments.

Original story: Throughout November 5th, social media was dominated by the ongoing Presidential Election with many giving their opinions on either candidate one way or the other.

Throughout the evening, former AEW star Jake Hager took to X and made a number of statements that caught the attention of fans. Beginning my confirming that he was a supporter of Donald Trump, Hager went on to target Khan and claimed that he was silenced, adding that he has proof that Khan is a communist:

Do u want proof that @TonyKhan is a communist and threatened me to be silent or else?

Jake Hager Continues Tony Khan Accusations

Continuing the series of social media posts, Hager also responded to a user who tagged Khan and Bryan Danielson about Hager’s social media posts, once again claiming that Khan tried to silence him:

Tony khan is someone who threaten my job if i didnt stop promoting my trump. He js a communist

In a further shot to wrestling fans, Hager provided the follow-up post with more grammatical errors:

The posts are still on Hager’s account at the time of writing. No further information has been provided from Hager regarding his claims. Khan has not responded to Hager’s claims.

Previously known as Jack Swagger in WWE, Hager was one of the first AEW signings back in 2019 and aligned himself with Chris Jericho as part of The Inner Circle on episode 1 of Dynamite. Hager left the company in May 2024 when his contract was not renewed.
