“Everyone Should Feel Embarrassment” – CM Punk On The Brilliance Of Pat McAfee

Former WWE Champion, CM Punk, has spoken out about the brilliance of Pat McAfee and Rhea Ripley on Wednesday nights.

A long-time detractor of anything World Wrestling Entertainment following his exit from the company after the 2014 Royal Rumble, CM Punk hasn’t had a lot of positivity to lavish on the company in recent years, but now that has changed.

A self-professed viewer of NXT, the master of the Go To Sleep has taken to Twitter to heap much praise on the company’s up and coming talent including a great deal of love for Kings of NXT leader, Pat McAfee, and ‘The Nightmare’ Rhea Ripley.

On Pat McAfee being the very best promo in the company today, Punk posted this in defence of the former NFL player:

“A lot of it has to do with circumstance, but everyone else on the show(s) should feel embarrassment, and subsequently USE said feeling to better themselves, at the fact that @PatMcAfeeShow is a better promo than everyone on the show(s).”

His words sparked conversation with fans about why McAfee was so good on the microphone, with Punk suggesting that the reason was because the star hadn’t been saddled with scripted material that didn’t sound like him.

Pat McAfee himself recently orated in an interview that all his words are his own and he would never allow anyone to write for him, because then he wouldn’t be himself.

In his exalt for McAfee also included adoration, when he replied to one fan about Pat becoming a full-time professional wrestler. Stating that there was zero reason for him to do so, ‘The Cult of Personality’ wrote:

“There’s zero reason for him to fully commit to wrestling. He’s already the best thing on this show not named @RheaRipley_WWE.”

Pat McAfee will captain The Kings of NXT (Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan) into WarGames on December 6 against The Undisputed Era, while Rhea Ripley will join Shotzi Blackheart, Ember Moon and Io Shirai in their war against Team LeRae at the NXT TakeOver of the same name.
