The first night of the 2024 WWE Draft saw over 30 superstars drafted across Raw, SmackDown and NXT!
The latest edition of SmackDown marked the first night of this year’s WWE Draft which, for the first time in several years, featured draft picks directly from NXT on top of Raw and SmackDown.
Earlier this month, it was reported that at least two top stars of the black and gold brand were considered “a lock” to be drafted, namely former NXT Champions Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes.
As noted in the official draft rules that were unveiled earlier this week, the first night of this year’s draft featured four rounds containing four picks each with SmackDown picking first in each round. All champions, except Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors, are ineligible to be drafted due to being protected.
