Eva Marie may well get more than she bargained for when she goes one on one with the twisted Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam in Las Vegas.
Since her return to WWE television, Eva Marie has not had much time for the maniacal Bliss or her doll, Lilly. Upon her return, Marie brought along a sidekick who seemed to ostensibly do Eva Marie’s bidding in the ring in the form of the former Piper Niven, rechristened Doudrop by Marie.
Now after weeks of torment back and forth between Bliss and Marie, they will go one on one at The Biggest Party Of The Summer after their latest interaction on Raw.
Last week on Raw, former Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss defeated Doudrop in one-on-one competition. That led to Doudrop apologising to Eva Marie on this week’s edition of WWE’s flagship show and blaming her loss on Lilly.
As revenge, Eva Marie sent her protégé to Alexa’s Playground to kidnap Lilly but that didn’t go as planned. Doudrop picked up the doll as Bliss told her it probably wasn’t a good idea. Doudrop then looked panic-stricken as she stared at Lilly before giving her back to Bliss.
The bout between Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie takes the current SummerSlam card up to ten matches. AJ Styles and Omos defend the Raw Tag Team Championship they captured at WrestleMania 37 against the seemingly reunited RK-Bro. Sheamus will put his US Championship on the line against former NXT North American Champion Damian Priest, while Drew McIntyre will look to put his feud with Jinder Mahal to the sword – possibly literally. Raw’s matches are rounded off with Nikki A.S.H defending her Raw Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley and Bobby Lashley putting the WWE Title on the line against Goldberg.
On the SmackDown side of things, Edge looks to get his revenge on Seth Rollins as The Rated R Superstar competes in his first SummerSlam match since 2010. The Usos defend their SmackDown Tag Team Championship in a family affair against The Mysterios and Bianca Belair is due to defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Sasha Banks. Although not confirmed, it is believed that the night’s events will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending his WWE Universal Championship against John Cena.
