On July 19th fans will return in person to Monday Night RAW for the first time in well over a year. It’s something that every Superstar, including Eva Marie is looking forward too, even if all they do is boo her out of the building.
It was originally reported back in October that Eva Marie would be heading back to the company, but her reappearance failed to materialise. Despite this, the now RAW Superstar, had already inked a new deal and was seen backstage at the ThunderDome.
Vignettes finally started airing on Raw in May as Marie promised to bring the ‘Eva-Lution’ to the red brand. This led to the star finally appearing in person alongside her new protégé Piper Niven on June 14th. This marked Eva Marie’s first foray into a WWE ring since 2016.
Since returning Marie has established herself once more as a villain with her ill-treatment of Niven, who she now calls Doudrop.
Ahead of her first appearance in front of a live crowd since her return, Marie told Hollywood Life that she hopes fans boo her, even though Dallas feels like a hometown.
“There is nothing like performing and walking into our upcoming tours that start July 16th with SmackDown out in Texas and Monday Night Raw in Dallas,” she explained. “I just moved there so I feel like it is a little bit of my hometown now, but to walk out there and embrace the fans… actually I hope they boo. I hope they boo me out of the building. Every movie and every show or book, you always need a good villain and I’m okay wearing that hat. Coming back I think the WWE Universe has no problem making me that villain either.”
Another returning Superstar set to appear on RAW is John Cena who made his triumphant return to WWE at Money In The Bank.
Following an absence of 49 days, Cena returned just as the show went off the air to stare down Roman Reigns and salute the capacity crowd who roared their appreciation.
It was later announced that Cena will address the WWE Universe as he opens Monday Night RAW.
