Erick Rowan Pays Tribute To Brodie Lee With Incredible Memorial Tattoo

Bludgeon Brothers

Erick Rowan, the former tag team partner of the late Brodie Lee, has paid tribute to his fallen brother with an incredible memorial tattoo.

The former WWE Superstar would share an emotional tribute to Lee, whom he former the Bludgeon Brothers with, following the former AEW TNT Champion’s tragic passing. The former Wyatt Family star would even appear on the Brodie Lee Tribute Show on Dynamite, evening up the odds with a run-in to taking out Wardlow, before returning to the ring with a sign saying, “Goodbye for now, my brother. See you down the road” while emotionally embracing Alex Reynolds and John Silver.

Rowan, real name Joseph Ruud, would share a photo of his memorial tattoo which pays tribute to Brodie Lee by featuring the animal skull and mallet which were symbols of the Bludgeon Brothers, alongside the word “brodir” – which is an Old Norse word for “brother” inscribed on the mallet.

Rowan, of course, spent the majority of his wrestling career, thus far, teaming with Brodie Lee as the pair were paired together shortly after FCW was rebranded as NXT. Rowan joined Bray Wyatt in December 2012 as the “second son” with Luke Harper being the first son. The Wyatt Family would then tear through NXT and WWE over several years, most memorably feuding with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose – now known as Jon Moxley in AEW. Rowan and Harper’s relationship would even outlast their time in the Wyatt Family, however, with the team winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships as the Bludgeon Brothers in 2018.
