Erick Rowan AEW Status Update

Erick Rowan

The current AEW status of Erick Rowan has been revealed. The former WWE Superstar, now known as Erick Redbeard, has not signed a contract as of yet with AEW. Rowan made an emotional surprise appearance during the Brodie Lee Celebration of Life edition of Dynamite.

The contract revelation was made by AEW announcer Tony Schiavone during the Dynamite Post-Show live on YouTube. While answering questions from fans, Schiavone answered when asked if fans can expect to see Erick Rowan make another appearance in the company:

“I think Erick’s appearance only came on that tribute show to his former tag team partner. Then again, I say that but who knows? He could show up tomorrow.”

Erick Rowan teamed with Brodie Lee, known as Luke Harper in WWE, for the majority of the pair’s WWE careers. Starting as members of the Wyatt Family, the two would team off and on until Lee’s release in December 2019.

As the Bludgeon Brothers, the duo would win the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania 34. Rowan was himself released from WWE in April 2020 as part of a slew of releases that came about due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rowan recently shared a photo of his new tattoo paying tribute to his former tag team partner.
